Information

Classic Isle, or simply Isle, is an Easy map that returned in the Eternal Update. It has a path which loops and crosses various times, making it an easy and long map.

Previously, it was removed from the game due to how easy it was, and how tokens and wins could be farmed easily. A reskinned variant known as Gloomy Isle was featured during Terror Blitz Event.

Appearance

Isle takes place on an island and some various stone mountains as well. Various trees, rocks and wooden barrels are dotted across the map. In the distance, a freight ship is visible on the sea. The brown pavement path starts from a cave and crosses several gaps between mountains on a wooden bridge and ends at a secondary cave in which enemies and units come from both caves respectively.

Tactics

• Since the path passes through the middle several times, it is suggested to place towers near the center.
  • Towers like Gunslinger, Techblade, Vulcan and Sharpshooter shine here.
• Due to the Electricizer and Sniper's long range allowing them to cover almost all of the map, they can constantly attack enemies along the path.
• Despite the loop, Recon Base suffers due to the lack of space available.
  • There is only space to place one down.

Trivia

• In the first version, a very small decal picture of a cat, is seen in the back of the exit, which is a reference to one of the map creators, Beefchoplets.
• A plushie of Rei Ayanami from the 1995 TV anime Neon Genesis Evangelion can be seen behind the spawn entrance.
• The freight ship Borealis seen in the distance, which is a reference to Borealis, an icebreaker from Half-Life and Portal universe.
• A picture of a girl eating crayons and holding a red crayon with the caption "here... i saved u the red one" can be found behind the exit hill.
• A golden statue resembling the Dutchman Bugler skin can be found on one of the small islands, with a golden plate that reads "Revisit the banished Isle, a land that has fallen dispear [sic] long ago."
  • This is a reference to the Terror Blitz event and the plate refers to Gloomy Isle, a Halloween-themed variant of the Isle which has a similar description as seen on the plate.
• Before returning in the Eternal Update, Isle was removed in the Beta Update and was not re-added as it was considered too easy for players to beat the former Hard Mode, now called Expert Mode.
  • If you triumphed map prior to its removal, the contracts would show you triumphed it on Seaside Shore, as the latter was intended as Isle's spiritual successor.
