Description
The Gargantuan is an enemy that spawns on Wave 11 in Normal Mode, having high health but a very slow speed. However, when it loses all of its shield health, its speed increases heavily.
The Gargantuan is replaced by the Gargantuan X in Hard Mode and the Shielder in Expert Mode.
Lore
"Strangely enough, these units appear to be organically alive, unlike Eclipser and Equinox. Their main purpose is to push the army forward, by taking the most hits and defending units that lie behind."
Appearance
The Gargantuan has neon blue skin, black armor, collar and cape. It wields a shield with a neon blue Ankh cross. When the Gargantuan loses all of its shield health, its shield breaks.
The Gargantuan has sleek black skin that was reflective in nature by a minuscule amount, along with a protective shield on its left arm. Both arms had short sleeves worn on them. Numerous spikes can be seen on its back, similar to current Gargantuan variants.
Tactics
- Use some Elites to shred the shield health of the Gargantuan.
- Use high DPS towers, like Electricizer and Vulcan to kill this quickly.
- For new players, place some high level Slingers to kill the Gargantuan.
- Freezer can also be useful as Gargantuans aren't immune to freeze.
Trivia
- The Gargantuan has three other variants, Gargantuan X, Shielder and Reforged Gargantuan, which are confirmed by the Captain.
- The Gargantuan's shield has an 'Ahnk' symbol on it, which means key of life in ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics.
- The Gargantuan used to spawn in Tutorial but was removed sometime later.
