Description

The Hellflame Reactor is a slow late-game enemy exclusive to Hard Mode. It has 4,000 health, 1,000 shield health. It is considered a powerful version of the Reactor which appears earlier than the Hellflame Reactor.

Hellflame Reactor is replaced by the Sentinel in Expert Mode and Juggernaut on 'Ranked Up' Expert Mode.

Lore

"The orange color signifies that it appears to be stronger than the previous Reactor, as orange is a hotter color."

Appearance

The Hellflame Reactor looks similar to the Reactor, but with a more magmatic color scheme. It has glowing orange skin.

It wears a black chestplate with two vertical grey lines on it. It also wears a black cape. It also wears a unique head covering with multiple metal bars. Black fingerless gloves, pauldrons and metal armbands can be found on both of the Hellflame Reactor's arms.

Glowing orange material that is presumably lava or a magma-based substance leaks from its left lower leg.

Unlike the Reactor, The Hellflame Reactor does not have any chains.

Tactics

• Use high DPS towers, such as Vulcan or Electricizer to kill it.
• Since the Hellflame Reactor is slow, you can use long range towers like Sniper to kill it. However, it may take a lot of time.
• You can also use 4-X Elites with 4-0 Sharpshooters with the Bugler's X-4 ability to buff the selected Elites and Sharpshooters, mostly you must buff the Elites.

Trivia

• The Hellflame Reactor wears a re-textured version of the 'Lava Reactor' hat from the ROBLOX catalog.
• Weirdly, since the Hellflame Reactor does not have a "Ranked Up" variant, only 2 new enemies appear during Wave 39 instead of the regular 3 on Hard Mode without the modifier applied.
• The Hellflame Reactor used to spawn Flamer upon death but it was removed when Flamer got renamed to Unstable.
• This used to appear during the old wave 49 Expert mode.
