Description
The Lightning King is a late-game enemy that appears in Normal Mode. It has a moderately high amount of health, higher than most enemies that appear in the mode, only being overshadowed by Voltmaster, but it has a slow speed to balance it out.
Lightning King is replaced by the Volt King when the 'Ranked Up' modifier is enabled.
Lore
"Priests of the highest order, Lightning Kings are the most sought-after position within the Volt Union (excluding Voltmaster himself, obviously)."
"A member of the Volt Union representing the council of administratives that control the fate on their command. Unfit for war, they were forced to arrive, but with a smirk, they know that there's more to come."
Appearance
The Lightning King has a black and blue color scheme with a royal appearance associated to the Volt Union. Their looks notify you that the opposing enemies are at their last stand, sending in units unfit for war, as stated in its enemy description. It wears a prestige robe with a cape attached to it along with a crown worn on its head to notify individuals of its high ranking status of the faction. A primarily black colored belt is wrapped around the waist. Beneath the frontal outer-wear is a bright blue luminous material of unknown descent, presumably simple clothing.
The first version of the Lightning King has a black and blue color scheme same as the new one, but it looks a little bit darker. It wears the same aesthetics as its new counterpart. Unlike the new counterpart, it had ocean blue skin with no diamond-plated boots.
Tactics
- While not required, you can use high DPS towers, such as the Vulcan, Electricizer, Elite, and Sniper to kill this more hastely.
- The X-4 Elite's ability can be very useful against this, as it can get rid of majority of its health.
- You can use the Bugler in order to support your towers to kill this quicker.
- For example, 3-0 Sharpshooters paired with a 3-2 Bugler.
- 4-X Recon Base Tanks are capable of destroying Lightning King's large chunks of health.
- A beginner friendly tactic is try to have five 4-2s, and couple of X-4s Slingers to take this down fairly easily.
- You can also use X-2 Slingers if you're lacking cash, as they still do good DPS for their price.
Trivia
- The Lightning King's cape is the Blue Royal Cape, a Roblox catalog item.
- The Lightning King's crown is a re-textured version of the Black Iron Crown of Pwnage.
- The Lightning King makes a high-pitched groan when it dies.
