Description
The True Vanguard is a stronger variation of the The Vanguard which debuts in 'Ranked Up' Expert Mode at Wave 36, alongside the Robotic Guard. Both his shield health and normal health are quite high, these being 
140,000 health, 
95,000 shield health, and 
5 defense respectively. For a major boss, he moves quite fast and has multiple abilities at his disposal.

"The original Vanguard. His effectiveness in battlefield was so impressive to the council that they ordered more than a dozen of clones to be made. Only 6 original models were developed originally, but due to faults in engineering, the minor variations were replaced for general-use."

Appearance
The True Vanguard looks almost the same as his weaker counterpart in terms of general characteristics such as armor and weaponry.
Unlike The Vanguard however, the True Vanguard can be seen to be having a facial expression, by having yellow angry eyes, and this is accompanied with the lack of a mouth however.
The True Vanguard also has different shoulder pads.
All of the vibrant green sections that could be seen on the True Vanguard's armor has now shifted to a yellow tone, including the signature Valkyrie helm. The forcefield and cape are also yellow. He also wears black and yellow bands.
Tactics
- You should use the same strategies used to defeat The Vanguard.
- Be cautious, and don't celebrate too early upon defeating him, as the 'Tenacious' ability may catch you by surprise if you are unaware of his existence.
- Several 4-2 Elites is recommended to clear out its shield health.
Trivia
- The True Vanguard, Ignitus, Councilman and Glacius Councilman are the only enemies that have an ability to heal shield health rather than normal health.
- This is to prevent players from gaining cash.
- The Vanguard is a weaker clone of the True Vanguard, hence his description.
- It is also stated that more clones are scattered elsewhere.
- The True Vanguard was originally named The Vanguard Expert, just like most other Ranked Up Expert Mode enemies.
- Interestingly, the True Vanguard does not lose his forcefield when all of his shield health is depleted.
- This also happens to Chronos.
