Description
The Voltmaster, previously known as Lord Swordmaster, is the leader of the Volt Union and the final boss of Normal Mode. He moves at a noticeably slow speed but has a high 3,000 health and
2 defense. He has two abilities. In the first, he draws his sword and slams the ground, creating a shockwave that stuns towers that are caught in shockwave's range. In the second, he summons in two Volt Sentinels.
The Voltmaster is replaced by the Saber Champion on 'Ranked Up' Normal Mode.
Lore
"Voltmaster - the leader of the fantastical cult known as the Volt Union. Before the assault by the XCF, numerous visits were made by highly specialized groups - specifically to gather both history and knowledge of their planet. Voltmaster likely took place in such groups, overseeing the creation of the Spore fungal system, allowing for the complete domination of most urban locations. Call it eccentricity or insanity, it appears the Voltmaster sought a way of gaining power from within. By using his knowledge of human artifacts and the past, he could create a cult based on the idea of reliving what these medieval humans once have been. This religion has no name (according to our knowledge), but it's founded on the idea that human civilization peaked thousands of years ago, and that sometime around the Black Plague, humans became 'wicked'. To purge this 'wickedness', God gave Voltmaster the power of electricity, and told him that it was the will of the One Above All to purge the humans on our planet. Whether or not the Voltmaster truly believes in this idea is dubious."
"Voltmaster, recongnizing his own weakness, was amongst the first to bend the knee to the Grand Bobo. He knew that it was futile to resist or to participate in espionage. The Grand Bobo went directly to the root of all power; The Overlord, swiftly defeating him and using his body as a puppet. Voltmaster acknowledged that his feats were quite influential, and his use of spores was used within multiple factions, yet, despite his influence, he was constantly tossed around and scapegoated by the X-Council, akin to a punching bag or a tennis ball. Perhaps trusting in the Grand Bobo could grant him further power that he previously lacked."
"The Hierarch of the Volt Union. None is known about him- his hooded mask conceals his complete identity. However, from what can be gathered he won't dare to take any more chances, and has pinned you as his biggest target."
Appearance
The Voltmaster has neon blue skin and fierce black eyes. He wears a blue hood, shoulder-pads, a black cape, black metal arm-bands, knee-pads and shoes.
Multiple neon blue spikes can be seen protruding from his back, similar to the Bolt. Another similarity to the Bolt is that there are multiple spiky lengths extending from his back that generate an electrical current to each other, there are three of these rods in place.
In the center of his torso, there is a neon blue diamond. He also wields a sword that it uses to perform his abilities.

- Use high DPS towers like the Vulcan or Electricizer to defeat this.
- Multiple 4-0 Sharpshooters can make quick work of Voltmaster.
- Multiple 4-2 Gunslingers and 4-2 Demolitionists can also help, due to their high DPS and ability to damage both the Voltmaster and Volt Sentinels with their pierce, units and splash damage combined.
- Many 2-4 Trappers can deal a lot of damage to the Voltmaster as the traps deal increased damage to enemies with
750+ health.
- Multiple 4-0 Sharpshooters can make quick work of Voltmaster.
- It is possible to beat Voltmaster with only Slingers, though it depends on the map.
- Voltmaster may pass your main defenses and summon Volt Sentinels, so it is recommended to sell and move Slingers to the back.
