Captain Welcome to Christmas Town.. Very inviting actually, on second thought. Quite barren to think of it... Looks like there's two entrances. Unfortunately, the enemy seems to be sending in a ton of units. Don't put all of your eggs in one basket, Defend this battlefield! Captain, Wave 1 on Winter Town.

Information

Winter Town is a Winter-themed map created for the Cold Construct 2021 Event. It is Chapter 2 of the event, and has two lanes where enemies can enter from, but only one exit where enemies invade. As it is Chapter 2, the contents of the event are more difficult than its predecessor, at around medium or hard difficulty. It beholds even more new enemies, and ultimately ends with the final boss being the Combustor.

It takes approximately ~55 seconds for an Elf to walk the shorter lane, and a minute to walk the longer lane.

Appearance

The Winter Town takes place at a remote town within a considerably snowy environment. An abundance of small houses can be seen scattered across parts of the map, along with this, there are numerous trees. Enemies and units emerge from darkened caves at opposite ends of the map.

Tactics

• Snipers are not recommended, as they have 50% damage reduction.
• Due to some enemies having Maximum Damage, low damage/fast firerate towers like Elite and Vulcan should be used instead of high damage/slow firerate towers like Sniper and Electricizer.
  • Recon Base can be used, as the spawned units can deal full collision damage to enemies with maximum damage.
  • You can use 3-2 Electricizers to deal with the bosses.
• Surprisingly 4-X Techblades can be placed in the middle corners of the map in order to deal some decent damage.
• 3-X Recon Base can be useful against high health/flying enemies like Festive Biplane.
• 4-2 Demolitionist can be used to kill low health enemies or enemies than can be summoned.
  • X-4 Mechanics can also be used to deal with low health enemies.
• Be aware of when towers suddenly switch their target due to a classic glitch in multi-lane maps, where towers will keep shooting at enemies that are the farthest from their start, and not the closest to the base. This can leave some enemies unattended, therefore, making you lose.
  • 2-3 Bugler or Recon Base is reliable in that kind of situations.

• Winter Town is the second Cold Construct 2021 Event map.
• Despite of it being called Winter Town, in the server intermission, it is called Festive Village.
  • It’s also called Christmas Village in the change-log and Christmas Town by Captain.
• This is the first event map to have two major bosses seen (Diminisher and Combustor).
  • Although, Diminisher doesn't have health bar in this chapter.
• Sometimes, the mob infobox will not show the correct enemy due to a bug.
• A picture of this map can be seen in Osterdog's another game, Evade, in the Winter Palace map.
• There is a secret contract that is exclusively in this map called Red Orb.
